Many older homes still have galvanized pipes. We used to think that didn’t rust. But they do – from the inside out!
Your older galvanized pipes can build rust inside (like clogged arteries!) reducing the flow, and eventually clogging up altogether.
There really is no way to clean out a rust blockage. What we can do is to remove the rusted piece of pipe with an ‘easy-out’ pipe extractor tool and replace it. You can use either copper or plastic pipe.
Budget Rooter recently replaced a number of rusted galvanized pipes in Pomona. If you live in an older home and notice reduced water flow from your water pipes, call us.
